Geo-redundant storage (GRS) replicates your data to a secondary region that is hundreds of miles away from the primary region. This provides protection against regional outages and ensures data availability even in the event of a complete regional failure.

Using GRS for critical storage accounts ensures business continuity and data protection against regional disasters.
