Policy: Azure > CIS v4.0 > 02 - Common Reference Recommendations > 02.02 - Networking > 02.02.02 - Private Endpoints > 02.02.02.01 - Ensure Private Endpoints are used to access {service} > Attestation

By setting this policy, you attest that you have manually verified that it complies with the relevant section of the CIS Benchmark.

Ensure Private Endpoints are used to access Azure services.

Azure Console To verify private endpoints are used: 1. From the Azure Portal, navigate to the relevant service. 2. Select Private endpoint connections or Networking. 3. Verify that a private endpoint connection exists and is in Approved state. 4. Verify that the private endpoint is properly configured with the VNet.

This applies to services that support private endpoints including: - Storage accounts - SQL databases - Cosmos DB accounts - Key vaults - Cognitive Services accounts - Container registries - Service Bus namespaces - Event Hubs - And many more Azure services

Once verified, enter the date that this attestation expires. Note that the date can not be further in the future than is specified in report level Maximum Attestation Duration policy. Set to a blank value to clear the attestation.
