Resource Type: AWS > RDS > Subnet Group
The Subnet Group resource type is a collection of subnets (typically private) that you can designate for your DB instances in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). This allows you to configure network settings for your instances and ensures they operate securely within your Amazon VPC.
