Policy: AWS > EC2 > AMI > Deregistration Protection

Configure the Deregistration Protection settings for AWS > EC2 > AMI.

AMI deregistration protection helps prevent accidental deregistration of Amazon Machine Images. When enabled with a cooldown, there is a mandatory 24-hour cooldown period after disabling protection before the AMI can be deregistered.

- Disabled - Deregistration protection is disabled. - Enabled with a 24-hour cooldown period - Deregistration protection is enabled. A 24-hour cooldown period applies after protection is disabled before the AMI can be deregistered. - Enabled without cooldown - Deregistration protection is enabled. No cooldown period applies.
